Iguazu Falls (in Portuguese: Cataratas do Iguaçú), are the falls located in the border among the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentine province of Misiones within the National Park Iguazu. Its name comes from the words “and”, (similar to/ü/of German or the /u/ of French, produced by contraction of the throat) and “guasu” (read guadsú), that in Guaraní language means ““great” water”, respectively.
