The city of Puerto Madryn is a conglomerate of different architectonic styles in where plate constructions and wood brought by boat can be seen, typical of end of XIX century, the brick houses and plate ceiling of the 10´s decade, with some intervention of the neoclassic style, visible in the Old Hotel (147 July 28 th. street) and the Culture House (86 Roque S. Peña street). In the 50´s already begins the construction of an American style, with garage and living. The most characteristic buildings are Villa Pujol (belonging to who was intendant from 1916 to 1917), the Oceanographic Museum and Natural Sciences; the Railway station - built in 1889 - that worked as a station until 1961, soon to become the present Bus Station.
